CIBS Pol Virus Removal Guide

Do you know what CIBS Pol Virus is?

CIBS Pol Virus is a ransomware program that has multiple ways to enter your system. It is generally delivered by Urausy trojan which means that your computer gets infected with malware before CIBS Pol Virus blocks your desktop access. This infection might come as a fake browser update file, or a fake media player. Either way, once your computer gets infected with CIBS Pol Virus, you cannot access your desktop, and instead of that all you see is a screen-sized notification. The notification carries a supposedly legitimate message from Swiss Civilian Police. The message says that your desktop access has been blocked due to the fact that you were engaged in illegal activities. The activities cited include downloading and illegal distribution of copyrighted material, child pornography distribution, spamming and so on:

CIBS Pol Virus asks you to pay 100 Swiss Francs or 100 Euro for a fine, in exchange of dropping all the charges against you and unlocking your computer. This malicious scheme is employed by all the other Ukash Virus group infections. They claim that your computer is locked by local law enforcement authorities because you have committed crimes on cyber space. Such infections as Policía Nacional del Ecuador Virus or Ured Za Posebne Poslove Sigurnosti Virus are very similar to CIBS Pol Virus. In fact, they share the same design and notification contents, except for the fact that the message is displayed in multiple languages.
