Safety Center is an application that is known to perform deceptive actions for the purpose of extorting money from unsuspecting computer users. Safety Center has been identified as a rogue anti-spyware program that comes from the same family of other rogues such as Privacy Center and Secret Service.
Safety Center is usually manually installed from a malicious source such as a website designed by hackers to promote and sell fake security programs. Once installed, Safety Center will display pop-up notifications and conduct falsified system scans as a method for scaring computer users into purchasing a full version of Safety Center.
