Removal Guide

Do you know what is?

According to the website it provides a “customized web search service.” In other words, the application uses another search engine to collect the results but modifies these results in the process. As a consequence, you might notice targeted ads or other advertising content that is shown in the search results. The best way to deal with this threat is to keep away from the ads and erase the application as soon as you can. Our researchers who have tested the program in our internal lab say that it comes from a company that is known for creating browser hijackers. In fact, the search engine itself is classified as a hijacker, since it can change homepage settings. If you decide to delete from your browser, take a look at the instructions below the text.

Unfortunately, the fact that appeared on your system shows that you do not protect it enough. The browser hijacker could travel with bundled installers that might be available on malicious web pages. Such installers often display suggested software in a confusing manner. For example, there could be two buttons next to the recommended application on the setup wizard. One of it could be called “accept” and another one “reject.” If you hurry to finish the installation you might instantly click the accept button without realizing that you are actually accepting another program. That is why we always advise users to take their time while reading the information on the installation wizard. On the other hand, if you would have a trustworthy antimalware tool, you would be warned about suspicious installers before opening Removal screenshot

The browser hijacker is not like other programs that you can simply uninstall through Control Panel. Sadly, the application works by making particular modifications to specific files that are already on your system. In this case, these files should belong to Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, because these are the three browsers that the hijacker is compatible with. The modifications simply set as users default homepage. Thus, when you launch your browser, the unreliable search engine should be loaded.

Mainly, we advise against its usage because the search results might contain clickable advertisements that could redirect users to potentially malicious web pages. Some of the sites could advertise similar threats, like other browser hijackers, adware, or potentially unwanted programs. Other ads could lead to websites that contain Trojans, viruses, worms, and other malicious software.

Nonetheless, there are other reasons why the application appears to be untrustworthy. What we have in mind is Privacy Policy and Terms of use documents available on These documents contain only a couple of paragraphs, and some of them are only of one short sentence. As a result, it is not clear what kind of information the program could collect about its users. The Privacy Policy document says that the software can gather personal data, but does not specify it. It also does not say if this information could be shared with other interested parties. It seems to us that users should have a right to know how their private data could be used. If you think the same way, we advise you not to waste more time with this useless search engine and get rid of it.

As you already know, the browser hijacker cannot be deleted through Control Panel. However, we can still offer you two different solutions for the applications removal. Firstly, you can erase it manually by altering the modified files that we listed in the instructions below. Another way to eliminate is to use a reliable antimalware tool. You only need to install it and set it to scan the system. The security tool should locate the modified files and even other threats on your system if there are any. Afterward, you would only have to click one button, and the antimalware tool would take care of all threats.
