Do you know what WistaAntivirus is?
WistaAntivirus or Wista Antivirus, is a clone of Vista Antivirus 2008 which is a rogue anti-spyware program. It seems we have discovered another version of Vista Antivirus 2008 which is known to be installed without a computer user's permission through a Trojan which can come from a fake video codec download. WistaAntivirus may closely resemble XP Antiviurs or WinAntivirusPro. After a closer examination of each of these programs we have round WistaAntivirus to be related to XP Antivirus and WinAntivirusPro.
In performing our extensive research and analyses on rogue anti-spyware programs such as WistaAntivirus, we find that many times the name of a rogue program is changed to further disguise a malicious program. We believe this is the case with WistaAntivirus. The hackers that created Wista Anvirius took Vista Antivirus and simply changed the name slightly. You cannot trust either program or the scan results because they are totally bogus.
In non-techie terms: WistaAntivirus is no different from Vista Antivirus, XP Antivirus or any related rogue anti-spyware program. If installed, they all perform malicious actions such as creating popups and system alerts scaring you into purchasing the full version of the program. Do not fall for this and do not ever purchase WistaAntivirus or its variants.
