WinDefender2008 or Win Defender 2008, is a fake anti-spyware program that pretends to be a Windows XP or Vista security program. Through our testing and analysis of WinDefender2008 we have found WinDefender2008 to be nothing close to a security or protection program for Windows.
WinDefender2008 may be installed through a security hole or Trojan infection that resides on your computer's hard drive. If you have WinDefender2008 installed on your system then you may get several popups, alert messages and fake scans notifying you of errors detected on your computer. All of the notifications are bogus and cannot be trusted. WinDefender2008 does this to only scare you into purchase the registered WinDefender2008 program.
In non-techie terms: We must say that WinDefender2008 has a very nicely done interface that seems convincing but you must not fall for this trick. WinDefender2008 is basically garbage and ultimately a waste of your time. You must avoid downloading or installing WinDefender2008 if you can. If you purchase WinDefender2008 you will be wasting your time and money.
