I downloaded SmitFraudFix and it deleted the corrupted files successfully, I am so grateful. Thanks so much.

Yeah, Don’t use AVG. Smitfraudfix is built like trojan..this is the only way to find crap like this.
AVG thinks it’s a virus because it’s a VB script that changes registry settings. That’s what it’s supposed to do, so it should be safe to run.

Alvin:
Spyware files change all the time and probably SmitFraudFix didn’t have that file in its update of spyware files. I suggest you try another free product and do a HijackThis log.
Thank you, I used the automatic removal method and so far so good. None of the anti-spy programs I used were not effective. Now if I could just keep my teen age sons from going to questionable sites on the internet.

This works great. Just do the first part really, its just easier to do so, and less time consuming. But to run safe mode, just hit F8 repeatedly on the first part of the boot up, will have hardware information, or a logo of a company.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Thank you so much! I just completed the auto removal after much frustration and…………so far so good. No annoying pop ups.
Thank you!
Wow! this is simple and easy way to get rid of all the troubles. I have done many spyware & malware cleaning, but this is the most amazing software. Two thumbs up!
Great. I tried all sorts of different Anti-Trojan software, but the “Unknown Trojan” pop-up kept popping up. But I went through your Steps 1-10, and it’s no longer there. I couldn’t find Step 11 though, the “Local Settings\Temp” didn’t seem to be anywhere in my C;\Documents and Settings\[LISTED USER], so I hope I haven’t left anything lurking somewhere. But so far all seems good. Thanks!
Thank you worked perfectly just followed the directions as listed. Beware what you open on your computer. Mine was an innocent site and still left me with Porn inspired searches. What I was viewing had nothing to do with Porn. Thanks again, I had used ad aware, avg, and windows defender and nothing detected it. Thanks!
Thanks you … finally my problem is fixed by your s/w.
I am so happy I found this site…I was about to pay geeksquad $199.00 for this dumb unknown trogan…I followed your instructions and have rid the nasty bug and still $199 richer thank YOU!!! It was quite easy!
This is the first time I’ve had to do anything like this, and it worked a treat. Thank-you!!
