TopBuyer Removal Guide

Do you know what TopBuyer is?

TopBuyer is an adware application that bothers a lot of computer users worldwide. It is promoted as a useful browser extension that can enhance your online shopping experience and help you save money on your most favorite purchases. Unfortunately, TopBuyer may also be exploited by cyber criminals to promote their dangerous websites, so you cannot trust this application. If you are a security-minded user, you will remove TopBuyer immediately, and then invest in a licensed antimalware application that will help you safeguard your PC against similar threats in the future.

The main homepage for TopBuyer is located at topbuyer.info. It says that with TopBuyer you can “enjoy the convenience of shopping online and choosing from a selection of great deals right in your own Web browser.” TopBuyer is compatible with all main browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome), so it can reach a rather wide audience. Unfortunately, it is not possible to download TopBuyer at the official website, and that is not surprising – none of the adware applications from the same group have a direct download link.TopBuyer Removal GuideTopBuyer screenshot

TopBuyer is very similar to SalesChecker, Deal4me, ShopNDrop and other semi-random name adware applications. It means when you install TopBuyer onto your computer; the entry name in your Control panel might be randomized to tobuyeer, topBuyeer, toppbuyer and many other variations. It is still the same program, though, and you will see that it also adds and extension to your browser to boot.

Since there is no direct download link for TopBuyer, this application usually travels bundled with a list of other unwanted applications. According to our research lab team, users accidentally download TopBuyer when they click on fake download links. Fake download links are in abundance on file sharing, torrent and various p2p websites. If you are not sure which download link you are supposed to click on a third-party website, it will be for the best not to click anything at all; otherwise you might get infected with the likes of TopBuyer.

For the most part, TopBuyer just bombards users with commercial advertisements. However, we have to remember that in order to do that, this application has to collect data on what websites visit and what you usually search for online. The information collected is not personally identifiable, but TopBuyer is highly vulnerable to third party exploitation, and the collected data could be leaked to malevolent third party.

If you want to protect your data and your system from a third-party exploitation or even potential malware attack, you need to uninstall TopBuyer right now. We provide two sets of software removal instructions. Please keep in mind that it is strongly recommended to acquire a powerful antispyware tool, as an automated program can sufficiently protect your system from various intruders.
