Toggle Toolbar Removal Guide

Do you know what Toggle Toolbar is?

Toggle Toolbar is a browser extension that is installed on your computer with your own permission. It is not a computer infection, although quite a few computer users think that this application has browser hijacker qualities. That is rather far from the truth, because browser hijacker does not ask for your consent when it modifies your browser settings, while Toggle Toolbar does. If you find this browser extension annoying or completely useless, you can always remove Toggle Toolbar by uninstalling it via Control Panel, as this application does not resist being removed.

Toggle Toolbar comes from the Conduit family of browser extensions, so it is basically identical to Trustworthy Toolbar, KeyBar Toolbar and other similar extensions from the same group. It is compatible with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers. According to the information presented at toggle.ourtoolbar.com, this extension is supposed to improve your overall web browsing experience by providing you with shortcuts that allow you to keep all of your favorite websites just a click away. Nevertheless, there are certain security issues related to Toggle Toolbar that should be taken into consideration.

The problem is that if you install the full setup for this extension (although that is not set as the default installation), your browser settings will be changed. Conduit Search will be set as your default search engine and home page. The home page that comes along with Toggle Toolbar is known to display various commercial advertisements. Keep in mind that Toggle Toolbar is virtually not responsible for whatever content you are seeing on those advertisements. It means that a malicious third party can embed an external link in any of these ads, and should you click on it, you would get redirected to a corrupted website that is most probably beset with malware.

Although it is not the main toolbar’s intention to infect you with dangerous threats, you should consider removing Toggle Toolbar from your system, because sooner or later it would expose you to various security risks that you definitely need to avoid.
