SoftSafeness is a rogue anti-spyware application that is designed to use deceiving methods and misleading tactics to get unsuspecting computer users to purchase a full version of SoftSafeness in hopes that it would resolve security issues on an infected system. SoftSafeness can be installed directly from a malicious website that is designed to advertise and sell fake security applications. Once installed, SoftSafeness will display bogus warning notifications and conduct system scans for spyware only to return falsified results.
