Windows 8:

  1. Move the cursor to the bottom left corner and right-click on the minimized version of Desktop/Metro UI screen.
  2. Select Control Panel and click on Uninstall a program from the appeared list.

Windows Vista/Windows 7:

  1. Click on Start (left of the Task Bar) and then Control Panel.

How to remove Softonic Toolbar from the browsers?

Internet Explorer:

  1. Open the browser and simultaneously tap Alt+T.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Click on the General tab.
  4. Overwrite the Home Page and click OK.
  5. Tap Alt+T again and now select Manage Add-ons.
  6. Select Toolbars and Extensions from the menu on the left.
  7. Click on the unwanted extension and select Disable.
  8. Now click on Search Providers (menu on the left).
  9. Select the unwanted search provider and click Remove.

Google Chrome:

  1. Launch the browser and open the menu by simultaneously tapping Alt+F.
  2. Go to Tools and select Extensions.
  3. Click on the recycle bin icon for the add-on you wish to delete and select Remove.
  4. Select Settings from the menu on the left and navigate to On Startup.
  5. Mark “Open a specific page” and hit Set pages.
  6. Locate the unwanted option and click “x”. Click OK.
  7. Go to Search and click on Manage Search Engines.
  8. Select the item you want to remove and click “x”. Click OK.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Tap Alt+H (simultaneously) to open the Firefox Help menu.
  2. Click on Troubleshooting Information.
  3. Select Reset Firefox.
  4. Click Finish.
