Smart Address Bar is there to improve your web search by turning the browser address bar into a search box. When you have the add-on installed, whenever you type something into the browser's address bar, Smart Address Bar presents you with keyword-related search suggestions, and can even display your previous search history.
The add-on can definitely be rather useful, although some users have expressed their wish to remove or disable Smart Address Bar. There may be some apprehension regarding privacy policy, because Smart Address Bar uses cookies, but according to the official website, the add-on uses cookies only to "assign temporary identification numbers" to computers that connect to the add-on's servers. When your computer is identified by Smart Address Bar's server, it can provide you with relative search suggestions that coincide with your general likes and preferences. Smart Address Bar claims that all of its cookies are less than 5KB in size and they function temporarily - after a limited period of time they are simply deleted.

- Click Uninstall a program and remove Smart Address Bar.

- Open Start Menu and click Control Panel.

Remove Smart Address Bar from Mozilla Firefox
- Press Ctrl+Shift+A and Add-ons Manager tab will open.

- Restart your browser.
