  1. Launch your browser and tap Alt+T.
  2. Select Manage Add-ons and then click Search Providers.
  3. Select a new search engine and click Set as default.
  4. Locate the undesirable search provider, click on it, and then select Remove.
  5. Tap Alt+T once again and then move to Internet Options.
  6. Click on the General tab, type in your homepage URL, and click OK.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Locate search provider icon and click on it.
  3. Select a new search engine from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on the icon again and then go to Manage Search Engines.
  5. Locate the undesirable one and click OK.
  6. Tap Alt+T and go to Options.
  7. Select the General tab and type in new address near Home Page. Click OK.

Google Chrome

  1. Launch your browser.
  2. Tap Alt+F.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. In On startup, mark Open a specific page or set of pages.
  5. Click Set pages.
  6. Add/Remove the URL and click OK.
  7. Mark Show Home button under Appearance and click Change.
  8. Repeat the 6th step.
  9. In the Search section, click Manage search engines… button.
  10. Select a new search engine and click Make default.
  11. Locate and click on the undesirable software and then click X.
