Moneygram Virus Removal Guide

Do you know what Moneygram Virus is?

Moneygram Virus is a ransomware which employs the credentials of FBI, Interpol and ICSPA departments to make you believe that you should pay a fine of $300. What is the basis of this fine? Allegedly committed cyber crimes, including the distribution of pornography and spam emails. Do you take the blame for these actions? In reality, it does not matter much because the fine is bogus and the lock-down of the operating Windows system is illegal. As you may already understand, the aforementioned law enforcers have nothing to do with the fine or the removed access to the computer as well. By now you should have no doubts that it is a must to delete Moneygram Virus from the PC.

FBI Cybercrime Division Virus, ICSPA Virus and various other ransomware infections use the same methodology to attack Windows systems and trick their users into paying the represented fine. Despite this, there are a few ways to disclose the scam. First of all, FBI would not ask you to pay fines through MoneyGram, MoneyPak or other untraceable systems. Secondly, the displayed accusations are generic and can be linked to a number of different ransomware viruses. Finally, there is no doubt you need to remove Moneygram Virus if you discover the computer blocked, as FBI would not perform this illegal action.

An excerpt from the bogus notification:

Fines may only be paid within 72 hours after the infringement. As soon as 72 hours elapse, the possibility to pay the fine expires, and a criminal case is initiated against you automatically within the next 72 hours! To unblock the computer you must pay the fine through MoneyPak or MoneyGram xpress Packet of $300.

Nothing will change within the next 72 hours, except for the potential malware infiltration, if you decide to ignore the fine payment. Of course, if you do not remove Moneygram Virus, you will not be able to access the computer, which is why we recommend that you act upon the situation immediately. It would be best to install automatic spyware detection and removal software to remove the infection. See the instructions below to find out how to perform this task.
