Major Software Bugs Reported In iPhones

Today marks a big day for Apple and an even bigger day for the guys that have to fix reported issues with the new iPhone 3G and iPhone 2.0 firmware updates. According to some reports, there are global issues with Apple Inc's iTunes services for people that are activating the new iPhone 3G and those upgrading to the new 2.0 firmware.

With the server issues that Apple's iTunes is having it is ultimately preventing the new iPhone 3G phones from being fully activated in stores during purchase. So what do they do, wait it out in the store after spending all night standing in line? Go home with a non-working iPhone 3G? Reports have stated that the consumers of the new iPhone 3G can go home and finish the activation process once the server issues are resolved.

Some people have reported no issues with the activation of their new iPhone 3G or update to the new 2.0 firmware. It seems Apple may have not been ready for this big roll-out. Not to mention many current iPhone users were logging on to update their phone at the same time new iPhone 3G consumers were trying to activate theirs possibly causing these server issues.

Have you had any luck updating your iPhone to version 2.0? Did you have any issues activating your new iPhone 3G. Are you glad you are not part of this iPhone frenzy?
