Llssoft Removal Guide

Do you know what Llssoft is?

According to our malware analysts, Llssoft is a Trojan that can show you ads and collect information about you secretly. Removing it is highly recommended as it can jeopardize your computer’s security. You can get it on your computer unintentionally as its developers distribute it using malicious bundled software installers. The ads shown by this Trojan generate ad revenue, and its sole purpose is to make a profit for its developers. Therefore, this program is useless, and we suggest that you delete it as soon as the opportunity arises.

Our cyber security experts say that Llssoft is most likely distributed though malicious software installers that install it on your PC by stealth. Certain websites can bundle legitimate applications and other programs that have been classified as potentially unwanted with this Trojan. You may encounter these installers on websites dedicated to hosting downloads of potentially unwanted programs (PUPs,) and also shady freeware websites that make money off bundling third party applications. Therefore, you should always make sure to check whether a program is bundled with other software by opting for custom or advanced installation and unchecking undesirable content.

Once your computer is infected with Llssoft, it creates a folder at %LOCALAPPDATA%\llssoft that contains a subfolder named winvmx. winvmx host an executable file called VMXclient.exe. When this executable runs, it drains your computer of its resources and makes the PC work slower as it utilizes a lot of your CPUs recourses. VMXclient.exe, in turn, is set to infect your PC with adware that will show ads while you browse the web. The ads are plentiful, so they will obstruct your browsing experience. This Trojan will also infect your PC with more malicious files in specially created folders that include the following:

C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\llssoft

C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\hdsvad

C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\ntuserlitelist

C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\Umcmedia

C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\YzhzPack

C:\ProgramData\mntemp

C:\Program Files\SVCVMX

The ads you will be subjected to can include various coupons, pop-ups banners that are not only annoying, but potentially dangerous as well. Researchers say that Llssoft can connect to remote websites to obtain the ads. Some of the advertisements can promote potentially dangerous content such as malicious software, adware, and potentially unwanted programs. Furthermore, Llssoft can collect information about you. This information is probably restricted to anonymous information, such as your IP address, geographical location, Internet Service Provider (ISP,) and so on in order to somewhat customize the ad campaign.

In conclusion, Llssoft is a highly malicious application that can get onto your computer without your knowledge or authorization. It is dedicated to showing commercial advertisements from unknown and, thus, untrustworthy sources. We recommend that you remove this application as soon as possible. There is no uninstaller, so you have to go to each of the individual locations and delete them.
