Infoaxe is an infamous browser hijacker which may change Internet Explorer home page and search provider settings. The malicious hijacker is also known as Spyware:Win32/Infoaxe or Flipora Hijacker. The program acts as a browser helper object which can collect information related to your online activity. Please see an excerpt from the Privacy Policy:

We may collect personal information, including email addresses, when individuals register to use the Flipora website and services, post a link to the Flipora website or submit questions, comments or bug reports. […] Flipora may send you updates & notifications from other members by email, but will never sell or rent your email address to third parties

It has been discovered that sharing the email address with Flipora could be dangerous to the virtual security of your personal contacts. Whether you register your account through email or through social networking sites, it is likely that irritating and misleading spam emails will be sent to all of your friends and colleagues. Without a doubt, if you do not want the hijacker utilizing your virtual accounts to fool people, you need to delete it.
