Diet Bright Removal Guide

Do you know what Diet Bright is?

Diet Bright is a new type of ad-supported program that displays ads not only in the web browser but via its GUI window as well. It is worthless, and its annoying ads can jeopardize your PC's security. Therefore, we recommend that you remove it ASAP. However, you might think that Diet Bright is a legitimate program since it is presented as something that will, according to its website, help you “take control of your diet.” If advertising one website over and over again is this program’s developer’s thought of providing you with the means to control your diet, then they clearly have no idea what they are doing. However, the truth is that this program’s developers intend to cash in by bombarding you withads that will be of no use to you, but let us start from the beginning.

Diet Bright was released by a largely unknown malware developer that does not take the effort to label its software, and that is mostly due to the fact that its programs are so unreliable that associating with them will result in an endless stream of problems. Our malware researchers have managed to link Diet Bright with a few other applications. It seems that this program is almost an exact clone of MultiSurveys, BeautyMost, and ShiftVideos. Therefore, we assume that all of these applications were developed by the same secretive malware developers.Diet Bright Removal GuideDiet Bright screenshot

This becomes even more apparent when you compare the websites of the said programs. For example, Dietbright.com and Shiftvideos.com are quite similar. And, while we are on the subject of websites, we want to inform you that Dietbright.com features this adware’s installer. However, this program does not come alone; our researchers have found that its installer can also infect your computer with other unreliable software, such as System Healer, Yoursearching.com or some other program. Nevertheless, this website is not the only means for disseminating Diet Bright. Our malware researchers say that this adware is also distributed via malicious software bundles featured on websites that host pirated material. In addition to that, they have found that like its predecessors, this program’s installer is being promoted via browser hijackers, such as Ooxxsearch.com or Snjsearch.com.

Testing has revealed that this program will advertise using two methods. Like its clones, this program features a graphical user interface window dedicated to loading promoted websites. And, it has been configured to open at random, so it is quite intrusive and will is set to interrupt your computing at random. Furthermore, this window will load a page at Interest4.valuedinformation(.)com/numbers/?t=5&c1=RDDBR&u=&im= or Hiddensavingsalerts(.)com/?affiliate=lhgen3%26s1=OCD%3A%3A%26img_url=http%3A%2F%2Fweb.ionsmedia.com%2Fdlthanks.png. In addition, it might also load getsamplesnow.com/Flow.aspx, but keep in mind that the promoted websites are subject to change and more often than not, they start promoting scam websites. In addition to this graphical user interface window, Diet Bright can open the same aforementioned websites in Internet Explorer. Note that Internet Explorer is also set to open automatically which is very annoying and intolerable.

Furthermore, Diet Bright will gather information about you. The collected information includes Internet Protocol address (which reveals your approximate geographical location,) Internet Service Provider, browser type, device type, and so on. This information is used for tailoring the ads as some of them are region-specific. However, there is one page that is promoted regardless of the region you are in. Webmd.com is the name of this website and it is legitimate from the looks of it. Note that the collected information is on non-personally identifiable nature, but given how unreliable its developers are, there is no way of knowing what it might be used to advertise.

All in all, Diet Bright is just another adware-type application from a group of malware developers that have taken the Internet by storm with their new type programs. This is of no benefit to you, however, since all you will get are annoying and potentially malicious ads that will surely cause you a lot of problems. Therefore, we encourage you to take action against this infection and remove it via Control Panel. However, we also recommend deleting junk files that it can leave behind using our guide.
