DESCRIPTION

AntiSpyBoss, or AntiSpywareBoss, is a fake anti-spyware program designed to display overstated infection results. The scanned results are used as scare tactics to get users to purchase AntiSpyBoss for removal. AntiSpyBoss is not a legitimate anti-spyware program. AntiSpyBoss may create certain infections on your computer only to proclaim them as actual spyware parasites that it finds. AntiSpyBoss cannot be trusted no matter how convencing it may seem, it is all part of a scam.

In non-techie terms: Rogue anti-spyware programs such as AntiSpyBoss have special tasks that they are programmed to perform. In the case of AntiSpyBoss, it’s task is to attempt to fool computer users into spending their money on AntiSpyBoss to remove the infections AntiSpyBoss found. 1. Uninstall AntiSpyBoss Program
   Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel > Double-click on Add/Remove Programs. Search for and uninstall AntiSpyBoss if found.
2. To stop AntiSpyBoss processes (view process removal steps)
   Go to Start > Run > type taskmgr. The click the Processes tab and you’ll see a list of running processes.
   Search and stop these AntiSpyBoss processes:

   compuz.exe
   xpsim.exe
   tasklkv.exe
   swaphzrp.exe

   tehreg.exe
   umqkmark.exe
   wxnphome.dl
   hwahchar.exe
   iwpvdesk.exe
   cutcr.exe
   gqutznet.exe
   homepvl.exe

   For each unwanted process, right-click on it and then select “End task”.

3. To Unregister AntiSpyBoss DLLs (view DLL removal steps)
   Search and unregister these AntiSpyBoss DLLs:
   oycxftp.dll
   webexh.dll
   realhb.dll
   realsw.dll
   utilii.dll
   wxnphome.dll
   hbpuulog.dll
   mailnfwj.dll
   sepubdel.dll
   svgafiv.dll

   To locate the AntiSpyBoss DLL path, go to Start > Search > All Files or Folders. Type AntiSpyBoss and in the Look in: select either My Computer or Local Hard Drives. Click the Search button.
   Once you have the AntiSpyBoss DLL path, go to Start and then click on Run. In the Run command box, type cmd, and then click on OK.
   To locate the exact DLL path, type cd in order to change the current directory. To display the contents of the directory, use the dir command. To remove the DLL file type regsvr32 /u FILENAME.dll (FILENAME is the name of the file that you want to unregister).

4. If your homepage has been changed, go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > click on the General > click Use Default under Home Page. Add the your desired default homepage, then click Apply > click OK. Open a new web browser to check that you have your desired default homepage.
5. Remove AntiSpyBoss Directories.
   To find AntiSpyBoss directories, go to Start > My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > Show the contents of this folder.
   Search and delete the following AntiSpyBoss directories:

   C:\Documents and Settings\yourloginname\Local Settings\Temp\gqutznet.exe
   C:\Documents and Settings\yourloginname\Local Settings\Temp\homepvl.exe
   C:\Documents and Settings\yourloginname\Local Settings\Temp\swaphzrp.exe
   C:\Windows\hwahchar.exe
   C:\Windows\iwpvdesk.exe
   C:\Windows\oycxftp.dll
   C:\Windows\System32\tasklkv.exe
   C:\Windows\System32\umqkmark.exe
   C:\Windows\System32\svgafiv.dll
   C:\Windows\realhb.dll
   C:\Windows\realsw.dll
   C:\Documents and Settings\yourloginname\Local Settings\Temp\512.tmp
   C:\Documents and Settings\yourloginname\Local Settings\Temp\cutcr.exe C:\Windows\swappk.exe
   C:\Windows\webexh.dll
   C:\Documents and Settings\yourloginname\Local Settings\Temp\tehreg.exe
   C:\Windows\System32\utilii.dll
   C:\Windows\System32\xpsim.exe
   C:\Documents and Settings\yourloginname\Local Settings\Temp\winblm.exe

   Right-click on the AntiSpyBoss folder and select Delete.
   A message will appear saying ‘Are you sure you want to remove the folder [NAME OF FOLDER] and move all its contents to the Recycle Bin?’, click Yes.
   Another message will appear saying ‘Renaming, moving or deleting [FOLDERNAME] could make some programs not work. Are you sure you want to do this?’, click Yes.

6. To remove AntiSpyBoss icons on your Desktop, drag and drop them to the Recycle Bin.
