Spammers are going for Gold for the most spam messages sent
Major events happening around the world, such as this year’s Beijing Olympics, always spark a sudden increase in spam messages. Secure Computer, a security vendor, has announced that they have seen a big increase in spam messages in the past few weeks related to the Beijing Olympics. They go on to say that they have seen as many as 360 million of these messages show up online recently. Most of us know how spam email messages can be misconstrued due to the subject naming.
Why use “Olympic” titled messages to spam people?

Malware E-Mails Disguised as Invoices and E-Tickets contain the GenericDownloader.ab Trojan
Recent reports from McAfee have stated that malware is being distributed through e-mail in the form of airline e-tickets and UPS invoices. The price of air travel is already outrageous so you want to be sure your purchased airline ticket is secured right?. If you are one of the lucky ones and recently purchased an airline ticket, 9 times out of 10 you are going to open a received email related to an “airline ticket”. What better way to spread malware onto computer users than using a fake airline e-ticket, airline titled email or even a UPS invoice?

Do you know what XLGuarder is?
DESCRIPTION
XLGuarder or XL Guarder, is a program that makes a false claim of being able to remove spyware. Basically, XLGuarder is a rogue anti-spyware that can be manually installed or put on your computer automatically without your permission. XLGuarder might be installed without your knowledge through a Trojan infection which is usually the Zlob or Vundo Trojan.
So what are the creators of the XLGuarder program trying to prove with its name? That XLGuarder is bigger than the competition with the XL meaning Xtra Large? Maybe size does matter when you’re dealing with a deceptive program such as XLGuarder. If that is the case then obviously the bigger it is the more time and money you will end up wasting because XLGuarder does not remove a lick of spyware like it claims too. A very funny part about XLGuarder is that when it is run it has a sexy voice with a European accent telling you the status of the fake scan. Marvelous isn’t it?
